Super Falcons Apologises To Nigerians For Defeat Against Banyana Banyana Of South Africa

Super Falcons of Nigeria has apologized to Nigerians for their inability to pick maximum points or manage a point in their African women cup of nations opening match against South Africa yesterday.

Speaking with journalists this afternoon in their Cape coast base in Ghana, the captain of the side, Onome Ebi, appealed to Nigerians not to give up on the Super Falcons but keep supporting them to do better.

Ebi, assured Nigerians and supporters of Super Falcons that despite the poor start, they will play to qualify for the 2019 women world cup and as well win the trophy for a record ninth time.

” We are sorry for the defeat yesterday but we are appealing to Nigerians not to give up on us. We will play to qualify for the world cup and comeback with the trophy “.

Flanked by Asisat Oshoala,Rasheedat Ajibade and Rita Chikwelu, said they all played as a team and for the interest of millions of Nigerians back home.

On allowances allegedly owed the players, they hinted that the players received their camping entitlement three days ago and remained grateful to the Nigerian Football Federation.

The Super Falcons lose 1-0 to Bayana Bayana of South Africa in their opening group game and will next play Shepolopolo of Zambia on Wednesday at the Cape Coast stadium.
