The Super Falcons of Nigeria made history on Tuesday evening for being one of the seven countries in the world to be in every Edition of the FIFA Women World Cup after overcoming the stubborn and determined Indomitable Lioness of Cameroon 4-2 in penalty shootout.
The indomitable Lioness who dominated the game and have most of possession were determined to revenge thier 2014 and 2016 final lost to Nigeria but couldn’t break through the formidable Nigeria defense to seal the game, Cameroon created most of chances but couldn’t find the Nigeria back of the net.
The game ended goalles after extra and regulations time and went to penaty shootout which makes Nigeria victorious when the Nigeria goalkeeper Oluehi save Cameroon Star Enganamouit penalty kick and Ngozi Ebere scored Nigeria final spot kick to seal the winner for the Super Falcons after another Cameroon missed her spot kick.
Super Falcons have won 10 of her 12 games against the lioness and also been go her third consecutive Finals and 9 finals in total.
Super Falcons will now play the Banyana Banyana of South Africa whom they lost to in opening fixtures on Saturday in the finals schedule go take place in Accra.
