The Bet9ja Nigeria National League Management on Monday 10th of December Release a press statement agreeing to conduct the Super 8 tournaments in order for them to send the four promoted teams to the League Management company, the organiser of the Nigeria Professionals Football League for the kick off the NPFL.
The NNL Management and NNL clubs owners agreed to promote the eight clubs after the initial proposal before the league kicked off was to organise a super eight tournament for the 8 teams that finish top two in thier various groups to determine the four teams that will be promoted but was refused by the League Management company,LMC and NPFL clubs owners and were told to organise the promotion playoff within two weeks and send the four promoted teams to LMC before on the 18th of December.
In the later sent to the various clubs of NNL which consist of assistance from the NPFL to the NNL management in organising the 2019 Bet9ja Nigeria National League.
The management also ask for time from NFF in conducting the promotion playoff as the time given to them to organise the promotion playoff is too short and will affect the performance of the participating teams.
Time needed for the promoted teams to prepare for the new NPFL season was also demanded by the Nigeria National League, NNL management for the promoted teams and the commencement of the Nigeria Professionals Football League, NPFL season to be shifted forward for the promoted teams to have time in registering thier players and prepare for the new season.
Also the management said they will not relegate any team from the Nigeria national League, NNL to the Nation wide league, NLO as no team was relegated from the Nigeria Professionals Football League, NPFL.
The management also have call an urgent meeting among the Nigeria National League, NNL clubs on Wednesday to conclude the 8 teams promotion saga.
