3 Nigeria National teams Namely, Sand Eagles, Flying Eagles And Future Eagles ( Under16) were in actions this weekend in the finals of various competitions as non was able to win any of the competition as the all lose to thier respective opponent in the finals.
Nigeria Beach National team, Sand Eagles lose to Senegal in the finals of the CAF Beach AFCON 6-1 after beating host Egypt to book a world cup ticket and reach the finals.
Senegal who beat Nigeria in the group stage on penalties in the first group stage game were dominant in the finals by denying the Super Sand Eagles another trophy after denying them the one of 2016 in Lagos.
WAFU Zone B Under20 Cup:
Flying Eagles were beaten by Invitee from WAFU Zone A, Senegal in the WAFU Zone B Under20 finals in Lome Togo.
Senegal whom have been dominant in the competition by winning 5 of thier 6 games in the WAFU competition left no stone unturned as they beat Nigeria 2-0 to cliche the zonal trophy from Nigeria and other WAFU Zone BB countries.
Coca-Cola Under16 AFCON
The Nigeria under16 National team, Future Eagles lost to Kenya on penalties as Kenya became the first nation to win the inaugural AFCON Under 16 Competition on Saturday after beating Nigeria 3-2 in post-match penalties.
The final tally was 0-0 and the game was forced into post-match penalties.
The match took place at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.
Jacob Onyango was awarded the Golden Boot after netting five goals in The AFCON U16 tournament.
Kenya took the Golden Boot and Gloves, while Nigeria got the Best Player slot.
