With a week to the kick off Nigeria Professionals Football League, four clubs that were banned from using thier home stadiums in the middle of last season due to the deplorable State of pitches and the stadiums environment and were told to look for a temporary home ground when fixing thier home ground to usable are yet to fix their Stadiums.
The four clubs that were banned from using thier home stadiums by the League Management company, LMC were, Abia warriors, Niger Tornadoes, Heartland FC and Yobe Desert Stars.
The Dan Ayim Stadium in Owerri which is the home ground of Heartland FC is in a deplorable State and not TV friendly, the pitch the dressing room are all in mess and even the track all have holes and look like something that have been abandoned for years and Heartland FC have to share Krisdera Hotel Stadium with Go Round FC of Omoku before the league went on break and never returned.
Niger Tornadoes whom have already been on a temporary ground due to the renovation of thier home Stadium were also banned from using the temporary home due to fans encroachment at the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja and were forced to return to thier home ground which is nothing to write about after how many years of Renovation.
Abia Warriors of Umuahia will have to look for another source in renovation the Umuahia Township Stadium if the banned will follow suit this season due to many years of their State government in renovating the State favourite Club Enyimba FC Stadium and leaving Abia warriors to thier fate in having a suitable home.
In the case of Niger Tornadoes, they were banned by LMC from using the August 27th Stadium due to bad pitches and low capacity and the same Stadium was later approved by LMC for usable with no meaningful work on it.
