Lobi Stars Bow Out Of CAF Champions League In Style

Lobi Stars football club of Markudi bow of the CAF Champions League in style as they beat Asec Mimosas of Ivory Coast to finish third on the log with 7 points.

Asec Mimosas whom came into the game with nothing less than a win with a wide margin conceded a goal in less than 4 minutes into the game as Alimi Sikiru put the host into the lead in the 3rd minute.

Alimi Sikiru scored his second goal in the 40th minutes to double the lead for Benue team before halftime as Asec Mimosas Hope of making to quarter finals were dashed.

In the other group game, Wydad Casablanca beat Sundowns 1 nil to top the group as both teams book their place in the Quarter Finals.

Lobi Stars focus will now be on the league games to return back to Continental games next season after a poor performance this year.

You should have posted the group standings to show us how they finished
