Samuel Kuffour Replace Lawyer Adonteng On The NC .

Former Bayern Munich defender, Samuel Osei Kuffour, has replaced Kofi Duah Adonteng on the Normalisation Committee (NC) of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Kuffuor, who was instrumental in the Black Stars team during his playing days, was confirmed by the chairman of the NC, Dr Kofi Amoah, in a press conference on Friday March 22 in Accra.

The 42-year-old joins the four-member team with rich experience in the sport having achieved so much in football during his hey day with the Germany giants, Bayern Munich.

FIFA’s decision to sack Duah-Adonteng from the interim football running body in the country and replace him with Kufuor came as a surprise with the former said to have suspected foul play in his axing.

Speaking at a press conference at the GFA headquarters on Friday March 22, Dr Amoah explained that the world governing football body has notified them of their decision to replace Duah-Adonteng with Kuffuor.

“I can confirm to you that the FIFA has added Samuel Kuffour to the team and he replaces the outgoing Kofi Duah-Adonteng,” he said.

FIFA instituted a Normalisation Committee to steer the affairs of football in the country following an expose by ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, which exposed gross corruption in football.

The expose led to the then President of the GFA, Kwesi Nyantakyi, being banned for life from the game by FIFA following a petition by Anas Aremeyaw Anas
