Nigeria End Their AFCON Qualifiers As Group Winners With A 3-1 Win Over Seychelles


Nigeria finish the 2019 AFCON Qualifiers as group E winners with a 3-1 win over the Pirates of Seychelles at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta state.

Nigeria took the lead in the 33rd minutes through Odion Ighalo Spot kick before the Pirates of Seychelles equalized through goalkeeper Francis Uzoho error in the 41st minutes.

Onyekuru put Nigeria in front on resumption of the second half, the pirates of Seychelles came out looking for the equalizer few minutes to the end of the game but it was the Super Eagles who got the goal to extend thier lead through Moses Simeon.

Nigeria before coming into the game have already qualified making the game a dead rubber game and as an avenue to give new players chances for playing for the national team.

Nigeria will play the Pharaohs of Egypt on Tuesday in a friendly game at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba in preparation for the AFCON tournament in June.
