Remo Stars are languishing at the relegation zone of group A after 12 games, they failed to win thier reschedule match day 11 fixtures against Enugu Rangers whom they eventually lost 5-2 to in Enugu in the first tie.
Remo Stars coach, Kennedy Boboye react after the home draw against Enugu Rangers saying the players he met at the club are average and the pitch of Remo Stars is not good to play football.
“Definetly is a disappointing one, we are here to win and it didn’t work for us the way we expect, so nobody was happy and I was not happy about it but we need to stay pushy, we have to push and find a way to get out of it.” He said
The coach also complain about the playing turf of the Sagamu Stadium, saying is among the reason why they don’t win at home.
” I said I will take responsibilities on what is happening in Remo Stars because I came and met players on ground”.
” I was asked to look for cool players but when I saw them playing in Aba, I was impressed with the way they play and I said okay I can work these ones but it was a flash on the pan what is happening to Remo Stars now and there is nothing I can do “.
” The pitch too is a problem we are having because we can’t kick the ball on the ground to play like the way we do play outside” .he also said.
