GFA Normalisation Special Competition to Start This Weekend.

The long awaited special competition of the Normalization Committee would start this weekend.

The competition was suppose to start in January but the premier league clubs were not happy with the format and finances involved in it.

The new competition would involve the 16 premier league clubs. The clubs have been divided into two groups, where every team would play against the other seven teams in their group.

The winners of each group would lock horns with each other. The winner would represent Ghana at the CAF Champions League. Each participating team would receive 30,000 Ghana Cedis.

In match day 1 of the special competition, (Premier A) Asante Kotoko would square it off with the “ogya boys”, Aduana Stars at the Baba Yara sports stadium in Kumasi. Ashantigold SC would also welcome Eleven Wonders at the Len Clay stadium in Obuasi. At the Wa sports stadium, Stallions FC (formerly known as Wa All Stars) would host Bechem United. The game between Berekum Chelsea FC and Medeama SC would not come on as scheduled due to the absence of the Berekum Chelsea team in Ghana.
