NPFL Match Day 15 Round Up: Akwa United Remain Top, MFM Dropped To 3rd.

MFM failed to get maximum points at home as Lobi Stars hold them to barren draw in Lagos as they dropped to 3rd position in group A behind Rangers and Enyimba.

In the other games in group A, River United failed to pick a point in Katsina as they were 2-1 down to Katsina United courtesy of goals from Tasiu Lawal 18 minutes spot kick and Usman Barau 51st minutes goal while Niger Tornadoes beat Wikki Tourist of Bauchi 2-1 in Minna.

In group B, group leader Akwa United whip Kano Pillars 3 nil at the God’s will Akpabio Int stadium in Uyo after so many wasted chances from the promise keepers with goals from Ndifreke Effiong, Emmanuel Charles and Kodjovi Dadzie while Elkanemi Warriors manage a 1 nil victory over Plateau United to remain second with same points with Akwa United.

Gombe earn all 3 points with a 1 nil victory over Delta Force United while Nasarawa United were trashed 3-1 by Heartland FC of Owerri, FCIU beat Go Round FC of Omoku 2 nil while Abia FC do the double over Yobe Desert Stars who needs to win all their remaining games to escape relegation.
