NPFL: MFM FC Crash Out Of Lagos FA Cup Because Of Rivers United Game – Fidelis Ilechukwu

The coach of MFM FC of Lagos Fidelis Ilechukwu believed that the reason why his team failed to make it to the 2019 NFF Aiteo cup is because they reserved 80% of their players for the Rivers United games.

The coach during an interview after the NPFL Match day 17 encounter with Rivers United said they were preparing for the game reason for their early exit from the Lagos State FA cup.

“It has not been easy because we have 5 injury players in our team and Rivers are very good side, so is a game we have been preparing, because of this game we lost FA cup because we decided to rest 80% of our players to make sure we get this result”.

MFM FC crashed out of Lagos State FA cup in the 5th round by losing to Box to Box FC as they will not be partaking in the 2019 NFF Aiteo cup.

MFM next NPFL game will be away against Wikki Tourist in Gombe on Wednesday.
