NNL Match Day 5 Round Up: Real Stars, 3SC, Mighty Jets And Akwa Starlets In Front Of Promotion Race

The first stanza of the Nigeria National Football League comes to an end on match day 5 as, Akwa Starlets, Crown FC and 3SC lead the race for Promotion in their respective groups.

In Group A EFCC of Abuja whipped Kaduna United to go top of group A while Kada City also beat NAF FC of Abuja to move up to 3rd on group A1 log.

FC Yarmalight of Gombe return to the promotion race after the 5-0 bashing they received on match day one to moved to second on group A2 with same with Kogi United abandoned their game against Jigawa Golden Stars with 30 minutes remaining to play. As Real Stars sit comfortably at the top of Group A3 with 1 nil away victory against Bimo SC while Road Safety of Abuja and Green Beret of Kaduna drew 1-1.

Adamawa United and Aklosendi Fc whipped Mighty Jets of Jos, and ABS of Ilorin while Sokoto United overcome Giodano FC of Kano.

In the Southern Conference 3SC beat Osun United in Oshogbo to move up to Group B1 while Abia Comets failed To pick point at home against Giant Brillars of Enugu, Stationary Stores and Jossy United play a barren draw, 36 Lions got their first victory of the season by ending Akwa Starlets 4 games unbeaten run while Sapele Lions and J.Atete FC drew 1-1 in the Delta Derby in group B3.

Nnewi United still remains top of Group B3 despite the lost to Dynamite FC of Auchi, Ekiti United record their first victory against Calabar Rovers, Warri Wolves lost to Lamray FC of Enugu, Ibom Youth whitewash Crown FC of Ogbomosho.
