Stadium ban not enough to curb hooliganism : Amankwah Mireku.

Numerous attempts have been made to put a stop to hooliganism from our football in this country.

Amankwah Mireku in an interview with Ghana Takoradi Base Station Spice 91.9 on May 9th, 2019 suggested that the NC together with the government to make the players who played in that famous Hearts – Kotoko game ambassadors To Help preach against hooliganism on match days.

Clubs in recent times have been slapped with stadium ban by the Normalization Committee.

One thing the Normalization Committee have to understand is that, stadium ban won’t curb what has drawn the local game back over the years and is still drawing it back.

Let study this scenario very well; Kofi goes to Gyandu Park to go and watch Atobease FC against Essikado FC and throws a stone at a referee for what he thinks was a wrong decision on the part of the referee, the next day, Atobease gets a stadium ban. Kofi, who threw the stone is walking freely on the street of Kojokrom, he can go to Essipong if that is where his club Atobease will play their home games and cause the same problem. The problem here is Kofi not Gyandu Park.

Get anyone who will be captured on camera engaging in a hooliganism act arrested and let him face the law, do this consistently for 6 months, we will see some changes.
