The Cranes of Uganda have been billed to lock horns with Egypt, DR Congo and Zimbabwe in Group A of the AFCON tournament in Egypt. How have their preparations been so far?
Speaking to Eye FM, Ugandan sports journalist, Herman revealed the Cranes are already in camp in Abu-Dhabi. The coach believes the weather in Abu-Dhabi is the same as that of Cairo, where they would play their group stage matches.
According to him, the team would feature in the tournament with experienced players like Dennis Onyango and Joseph Ochaya. According to him, the team believes experience can help them.
“We can beat Zimbabwe, but I think against Democratic Republic of Congo and Egypt it is going to be very difficult to beat them” he said when asked about his expectations. He believes Egypt and DR Congo has more quality than Uganda.
