The Nigeria Flying Eagles failed to make to the quarter finals of the FIFA U20 world cup as they were booted out by their fellow West Africa counterpart Senegal.
The Eagles who made it to the round of 16 as one of the 4 best losers have struggling in their games as they have managed only a win against Qatar on their first game.
Senegalese attackers, Sagna and Niane scored in the 36th and 45th minutes to give their country a 2-0 lead in a well contested crucial game in Lodz.
Few minutes into the second half, Ukouwem Udo Uti reduced the Junior Teranga Lions’ lead when he pulled one goal into the opponent’s net but wasn’t enough as the game ended 2-1 in favour of Senegal.
The loss means the flying Eagles are out of the FIFA U20 world cup and return back home on Wednesday.
