NPFL Championship Playoffs: Kano Pillars Beat Enyimba To Go Top Of The Table

Kano Pillars beat Enyimba two nill to go top of the NPFL Super Six Championship Playoffs.

Pillars who were held by Akwa United on their first game of the championship scored two seconds half goals to draw closer to tittle.

The game was stopped 2 minutes into added time and postponed till this morning due to heavy downpour last night.

The game resumes from added time with Pillars having the first chance chance as Nyima Nwagua is in a decent position to score but misses target.

Enyimba got a penalty in the 60th minutes as Madaki trips Bashir inside the box, and referee points to the spot but Pillars keeper Ayeleso saves Anaemena’s poorly taken spot kick.

First goal of the game was scored in the 71 minutes through Adamu Hassan and gives Pillars the lead

Pillars double their lead some minutes later with Nyima Nwagua expertly puts away Madaki’s cross as pillars overcome Enyimba to go top.

Pillars are up against winless FC Ifeanyi Ubah tomorrow while Enyimba is against Lobi Stars.
