FIFA Women World Cup: South Africa Failed To Cruise To Victory After Taking The Lead

Two penalties for Spain and a red card for South Africa as Banyana Banyana failed to cruise to victory after taking the lead.

South Africa couldn’t hold on to the lead for the remaining 20 minutes of the game as they conceded three goals within the space of 21 minutes.

Banyana Banyana hold on to the lead at half time and on their way their first world cup victory until Spain was awarded a penalty in 69th minutes and Jenni Hermoso slot it to the left, sending the keeper the wrong way.

Nothando Vilakazi was given a second yellow card forban attack on Lucia Garcia which led to the award of the second penalty for Spain

Spain score another two goals within seven minutes to record their first women world cup victory.
