The Super Falcons of Nigeria book a round of 16 spot for the first time in 20 years after Chile failed to beat Thailand with more than two goals.
The Falcons who failed to pick a point against host France due to a late penalty awarded to host on Monday were waiting for the out come of other games to see if they will be among the four best losers team.
The Falcons have to wait till final match of the group stage games as Chile failed to convert a late penalty which would have seen the Falcons coming back home in the group stage.
The Falcons alongside the Indomitable Lioness book a round 16 ticket after beating New Zealand 2-1 as both teams will be facing Germany and England on Saturday and Sunday.
This will be the first time Falcons will be making it out of the group stage in 20 years and also the first time two Africa teams will be in the round of 16.
