[Ghana] “We Would Be Awarded A Penalty”- Eric Alageidede

Communications Manager of Karela United Eric Alageidede says his side would be rewarded a penalty against Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

The boys from Nzema would lock horns with the Porcupine warriors in the finals of the tier one normalization committee special competition at the Baba Yara sports stadium.

According to him, his players will give the defenders a hell of a time which they will have no option but to foul their players.

“Only three players at Kotoko can make it into the team of Karela United,Abdul Ganiyu,Emmanuel Gyamfi and Abdul Fatau Safiu.None of their current players except these 3 can make it into our team” he told Oyerepa FM.

Karela United were second in their zone and locked horns with Ashgold in the semi-finals of the competition. Scoring Ashantigold in the dying minutes of the game through a Diawusie Taylor goal, Karela qualified for the final. Kotoko on the other hand knocked out Hearts Of Oak in the semi-finals by 5-4 on penalties.

Winner of the game would represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League next season. The match would kick off at 15:00 (GMT)
