Former U 20 player Cofie Bekoe says Black Stars of Ghana can end their 37 years trophy drought in the African continent.
Speaking to Ghana -Accra Base Station Power FM, he added that Ghana Coach, James Akwasi Appiah in his team building has never had a concrete team. “We don’t have a starting eleven, it is very bad”
“In building a team, it has to get to a point where you need to have a certain number of people that can play” he added. According to him, having a first eleven brings telepathy between the players.
He added: ” Right now we don’t have any Mohammed Salah or Sadio Mane or Mahrez, We don’t have that player who is in that unique form that can change things around”. He said.
He revealed that there is no talent in the team.
“I would only mention Atsu’ he said when talking about the talent of the Black Stars players. According to him, Senegal and Morocco are the favourites to lift the AFCON trophy.
However believes former team mate and Black Stars captain, Andre Dede Ayew has the qualities to lead the stars
