Former Nigeria Federation Cup Champions, Kano Pillars FC would leave for Kaduna for a Closed Door camping ahead of their second leg CAF Champions League heavy weight clash against Asante Kotoko of Ghana next weekend.

This is according to the Media Officer of the four time Nigeria Professional Football League Champions, Rulwanu Idris Malikawa.

Malikawa said the chairman of the Club, Alhaji Surajo Shaaibu Yahaya made this known shortly after their Morning training on Saturday at the Sani Abacha Stadium Kofar Mata, Kano.

Alhaji Surajo said Players and Technical crew as well as some supporting staff of the team would leave kano after the club Morning training session on Sunday 18th August 2019.

The Chairman also stated that the club would spend three to four days in Kaduna before they move to Abuja where they would fly through Nmandi Azikwe International Airport to Accra, the capital city of Ghana and then to Kumsi where the second leg would be played.

The chairman commended Kano State Government and good people of the state and entire fans of the club for their moral and financial support to the team and urged them to maintain their wonderful support for the team.

He also reminded the Players and the Technical crew the task ahead of them and charged them to focus and assured them that Kano State Government will not relent on it’s efforts in making them happy.

“Forget about the 3-2 victory in the first leg and tight your belts to make Kano and Nigeria proud, the chairman said.

During the camping in Kaduna the team will play some warmup matches to shapen their tactics ahead of the second leg.

Kano Pillars need at least a draw or a win for a place in the next round.
