Ndidi punishes Chelsea with heartbreaking goal as Iheanacho benched in 1-1 draw.
Chelsea are yet to find their first competitive win under Frank Lampard as Super Eagles star Wilfred Ndidi breaks the Blues heart at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. Mason Mount intially gave Chelsea the lead in the first half after Ndidi’s error, but the Nigeria international redeemed himself in the second half with a powerful header.
It was a perfect start for the Blues as they scored as early as 7th minute through Mason Mount after Pedro miss a clear cut chance in the third minute. It was an absolutely horrible goal to give away for the Foxes, whose attempt to play it out of the back is spoiled by some very lax dribbling from Wilfred Ndidi in front of his goal.
Mount managed to nip in undetected and won the possession, before flat-footing Schmeichel with a great finish.
Leicester City pressure finally paid off in the 67th minute as Ndidi made amend with an egualising goal. The midfielder looked extremely emotional after putting the Foxes level with a thumping header from a Maddison corner.
He was marked by Azpilicueta, but the right-back had little chance against the imposing Nigeria international, his mistake gave Chelsea the lead earler, but he made it right with a finish at the other end
