Alex Iwobi on target as Everton Clinched a late victory against Wolves.
Nigeria Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi scored his first Premier League goal for Everton in a 3-2 victory over Wolves at Goodison Park.
Everton clinched a late victory over Wolves on Sunday evening as a Richarlison brace and first Blues Premier League goal for Alex Iwobi saw Marco Silva’s side head into the international break off the back of a win.
In an explosive start to proceedings at Goodison Park, Richarlison pounced on a defensive mix-up to open the scoring only for Everton to gift Romain Saiss an equaliser minutes later.
Iwobi headed home his second Blues goal in less than a
week with a scintillating move down the right with Gylfi Sigurdsson crossing for the unmarked Alex Iwobi, who powers a header past Rui Patricio to restore Everton’s lead in 11 minutes later before Raul Jimenez equalised with a header of his own in the second half.
But Richarlison leapt highest to head home a Lucas Digne cross to clinch all three points late on before Wolves had Willy Boly sent off for a second-bookable offence in stoppage-time.
