[Nigeria] Preview: NWPL Teams Battle For Super Four Tickets On Final Day

The regular season of the Nigeria Women Premier League will come to an end on Wednesday September 11 with block bluster fixtures on offer.

In group A, it will be a winner take it all in Port Harcourt as Rivers Angels and Delta Queens will lock horns at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium for a place in the Super Four.

The Jewel of Rivers are leading the group with 10 points and lost the first leg encounter 1-0 to Delta Queens at the Stephen Keshi Stadium.

The other encounter in Group A will involve Osun Babes and FC Robo at the Oshogbo Township Stadium as the club from Lagos State are also in contention for the Super Four ticket if they trash Osun Babes and the game between Rivers Angels and Delta Queens end 1-0 in favour of the Asaba side.

Unbeaten Adamawa Queens will visit Dream Stars Ladies of Lagos at Agege Stadium.

Adamawa Queens are yet to concede a goal this season.

Edo Queens will pray the result go their way when they take on Heartland Queens, the Queens from Edo will have to to beat Heartland Queens of Owerri away and Adamawa Queens failed to pick all maximum points in Lagos for them finish as group B winners.

In group C, Group leader, Bayelsa Queens will take on Nasarawa Amazons at the Samson Siasia Stadium while Sunshine Queens will take Kaduna Queens at the Kaduna Township stadium, a draw for Bayelsa Queens will be enough for them to finish as group winner.

All eyes will be on group D as Confluence Queens, Ibom Angels and Abia Angels are all fighting for a place in the Super four.

While Confluence Queens will take on invincible Angels at the Confluence stadium, Abia Angels will play host to Ibom Angels who are one point above Confluence Queens.

A win for Ibom Angels will see them finish as group D winners.
