2019 Bet9ja Royal Cup: Group Stage Action to Start October 14

Action in the 2019 edition of the Bet9ja Royal Cup will commence on Monday, October 14, 2019 at 3pm in all designated centers in Delta State.

This is contained in a press statement issued at the end of the Main Organizing Committee meeting in Effurun.


The statement says that the Agbor Township Stadium, Kwale Township Stadium, Oleh Township Stadium, and the Warri City Stadium will be used to stage group games.

It notes that a private draw ceremony will hold on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at the Warri City Stadium, stating that teams paired in Group A and B will play their games in Agbor, teams paired in Group C and D will execute their games in Kwale, teams paired in Group E and F will do battle in Oleh, and teams paired in Group G and H will trade tackles in Warri.

The statement also states that teams will be allowed to register a maximum of 35 players, which will include only Three(3) Professional players per team, and they can only fortify their squad with players from their reserves or from other clubs that participated in the preliminaries of this edition of the Royal Cup within their respective local government .

Official licenses, as well as registration forms, would be given to all registered players in this phase of the competition.


It, however, adds that registration of players will end on October 10, 2019, with late registration attracting a fee of 5,000 Naira only per player.

It goes on to say further that Bet9ja customized jerseys, would be given to all 32 teams in the group phase.

Clubs from 20 local government areas of Delta State will taste in the group action of the 2019 Bet9ja Royal Cup.
