Olori Babes FC will be seeking for a promotion ticket when they take on Pelican Stars, Moje Queens and Police Machine in Pro-league promotion playoff.
Olori babes narrowly lost to Edo Queens in the 2019 Aiteo Cup and are highly motivated as they seek to spring up a surprise in Lokoja.
Coach Abayomi Olorunda said his players are highly motivated and want to play in the apex of league of Nigeria Women football next season.
“Our chairman is an excellent individual and he has done well in motivating the girls even without him on ground things will still run well for us”.
And asides from that, the players themselves, they motivate themselves because most of them are relatively young, they have not play in the league before so they are highly motivated and they want to have that experience and having that experience will go a long way in defining their careers”
The club will be playing their first competitive game since June after losing 3-1 to Delta Queens in the Delta State FA cup final in Asaba
“They want to also create a record for themselves by playing in the pro league for the very first time and get promotion on their first attempt, I think that is our greatest motivation, Coach Olorunda concluded”.
Olori Babes will also meet Moje Queens for the second time this year with the first being the 3-2 victory for the Warri side in the Aiteo cup round of 25 in Akure.
