2020 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup: Ministry, NFF Review Progress
The Ministry of Youth and Sports Development ended a meeting with the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) late Monday with a resolve to update FIFA on the progress Nigeria has made in the bid to host the 2020 Under-20 Women’s World Cup.
The meeting chaired by the Minister, Mr. Sunday Dare, had reviewed the progress made since FIFA’s inspection earlier in the year, with the observation that concerns raised by the world football governing body are being largely addressed.
The Minister had told the meeting that time is of essence in presenting the update to FIFA.
FIFA Inspection team were in Nigeria early this year to inspect the hosting facilities the federation put forward in bidding and will come back for another inspection in December to see if Nigeria is ready to host the U20 Women World Cup.
