Rivers Angels and Confluence Queens of Lokoja will battle for the 2019 Nigeria Women Football League title on Sunday November 3 at the Agege township stadium in Lagos.
Rivers Angels beat Bayelsa Queens on penalties to book their place in the final while Confluence Queens dispatch Adamawa Queens.
While Rivers Angels will be seeking for their 5th NWPL title, Confluence Queens will be gunning for their first when both teams clash on Sunday.
It will be first time both teams will be meeting in the super four.
Meanwhile Whyte Ogbonda and Edwin Okon will face off again this weekend in the final of the NWPL Super Four in Lagos.
A rivalry that has always encapsulated the best of Nigeria Women’s Football League as Whyte Ogbonda and Edwin Okon lock horns again this Sunday .
The ‘Akwa Ibom’ born tactician Edwin Okon have always had the edge over his former assistant and Portharcourt’ born counterpart Whyte Ogbonda with two victories in their last two final matches including a win in the 2017 and 2018 AITEO Cup final in Jos and Yenagoa respectively.
However, the rivalry between these two experienced managers will hit a whole new level when they meet today in Lagos for the final of the NWPL Super four as the pair continue to vie for domestic honour.
