The Ghana- Kumasi base Club Kotoko have been eliminated from the 2019/20 CAF Confederation Cup after losing to FC San Pedro in the reverse leg tie of the playoffs round Ivorian side FC San Pedro progressed to the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup after a resounding win over Kotoko in Abidjan on Sunday evening. FC San Pedro booked themselves a slot in the next stage of the competition after eliminating Kotoko on a 2-1 aggregate. Goals from Soumaro Cheick and Tidjae Diomande helped FC San Pedro to record a 2-0 home win over Kotoko at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium. The Orange lads frustrated the two-time CAF Champions League title holders with an early goal through Soumaro Cheick. The homesters continued to outplayed the Ghana Premier League heavyweights to end the first half in a 1-0 lead. After the break, Kotoko had few chances but Matthew Kelvin Andoh and Richard Arthur fluffed them over the bar. A late goal scored by Tidjae Diomande handed FC San Pedro the ticket to the group stages of the 2019/20 CAF Confederation Cup
