The 2019/2020 season of the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL kick off with an away and three draws.

Kano Pillars were forced to a goalles draw by Rivers United at the Sani Abacha stadium in Kano.

A game which was played behind closed doors due to a ban imposed on Kano Pillars for their Unruly behavior in the 2019 Super six Championship in Lagos.
