[Nigeria] Nigeria To Deliver Four FIFA Standard Pitches By May 2020- Sunday Dare

Nigeria Youth and Sports Minister, Sunday Dare has come out to announced that the country is set to embark on construction of 20 mini stadia across the country.

“The ministry will in 2020 monitor and ensure the completion of about 20 mini-stadiums across the country. The Imo-model of one mini-Stadium per Local government by each state will be marketed”.

The minister also said talk on are on ground for the renovation of Obafemi Awolowolo stadium and the ministry is expected to deliver 4 FIFA standard football pitches between April/ May this year.

“Efforts are now ongoing to deliver 4 football pitches Of FIFA standard soon-probably April/May 2020 with things running smoothly”.

“Talks are also ongoing concerning the renovation of the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, formerly,Liberty Stadium with government and a few private individuals. Our goal is to deliver four FIFA standard pitches by the first quarter of 2020 by God’s Grace”.

The minister after his appointment has been doing his best to revive sports and sports facilities across the nation.
