[Ghana] “I Want to Play Like Mbappe”- Daniel Owusu

West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) Sporting Club’s Daniel Owusu has revealed he wants to play like Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint Germain (PSG).

The 17- year old striker came off the bench to score the second goal for WAFA in the 2-0 victory over Ebusua Dwarfs in the week 2 of the 2019/2020 season of the Ghana Premier league.

Owusu capitalised on a text message pass and placed a low shot into the bottom corner of the net.

“I want to play like Mbappe. I always watch his videos. I download his videos when I am on my bed, I just play a deep music and start watching Mbappe videos. He’s a great player and I want to be like him” He said.

The former WAFA U 16 player was named as the best player at the 2018 Next Generation Trophy in Salzburg, Austria.

The Sogakope based team are currently 6th on the league log with 6 points out of two games. They would trade tackles with Elmina Sharks on 12th January 2019 in week 3 of the Ghana Premier league.
