Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak has parted ways with Charles McCarthy and Emmanuel Mintah ahead of the second round of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League Season.
Zonefoot. Net understands that the contract of the two players was abrogated following their poor performance at the club.
The decision comes after the technical team declared both players as surplus to requirements during the club’s board of directors meeting in Accra on Thursday.
Mintah joined Hearts of Oak on a free transfer after ending his stay with Karela United.
He has been struggling for regular playing time since his arrival at the club with no appearance this season so far.
Central Midfielder McCarthy also joined the Phobians on a free transfer after ending his three-year stay at Elmina Sharks.
McCarthy failed to live up to expectation at the club since joining them under Coach Kim Grant.
His stint at Hearts of Oak was dealth with series of injuries where he failed to play a competitive match
