[Botswana] Botswana FA Set To Transform Botswana League Into Commercial Viable Entity

The Botswana Football Association has appointed Ashford Mamelodi of Mamelodi Consultancy to drive the said Road Map Implementation on the transformation of the Botswana Premier League, BPL

The vision of the Football Association and the Premier League is to continue with the professionalization of the Clubs which will eventually transform the league to a commercially viable entity.

Mamelodi Consultancy has been tasked with engaging the Botswana Premier League clubs on the various elements of professionalization including governance and other pertinent matters.

The Club engagement, previously scheduled for April 2020 but had to be postponed on account of the Covid-19 pandemic is expected to be concluded by the end of July 2020.

The engagement will involve Top Leadership and Executive Committees of all the BPL clubs. The schedule for this week will start with Gaborone United on 30 June 2020, Township Rollers on 01 July 2020 and Prisons X1 on 03 July 2020.

The Gaborone United and Prisons X1 training will be at Lekidi Football centre while Township Rollers one will be at their offices.
