The head coach of the Zambia National team, Micho Sredojevic has shift focus to the second group game against Guinea who beat Nambia 3-0 on Tuesday night.
The Chipolopolo put two past Tanzania on Tuesday and Micho believes his side can pick up a positive result against Guinea on Saturday.
According to Micho, his players are yet to give their best as he urges them to improve ahead of their next game on Saturday.
“The biggest motivation is going to prepare for Guinea game from tomorrow. No player has given his 100 per cent. We need to improve a lot. There is no space for relaxation or complacency. We had a balanced game today. Today’s match is a history which we need to work on. We shall stretch ourselves to come up with a better display. How far we can go in the tournament, only God knows.”
The Chipolopolo who scored two second-half goals to earned their first win will be looking to surpass their 2009 best performance of clinching bronze as they prepare for Saturday clash.
“All our focus now is to refocus our mind, adapt, and acclimatise ahead of our next game against Guinea. Looking forward to our next game, no opponent is beatable. We need to work hard by showing our mental strength and convert our chances. We need to recover ahead of the game. I am not happy with the way we handle the ball today which we must improve on.”
The Chipolopolo will battle Guinea on Saturday before taking on neighbour, Namibia on the final group game.
