[Namibia] CHAN 2020: Losing Our First Game Was Disaster- Coach Bobby Samaria

The Brave Warriors of Namibia will take on the Taifa Stars of Tanzania in a must-win clash as both teams search for their first point in the CHAN tournament.

Namibia Coach, Bobby Samaria who believes losing their first game was due to individual errors from his players has moved on and had his focus on today game against Taifa Stars of Tanzania if they want to qualify for the next round.

“Unfortunately we made individual errors in our first game. We have moved on as it was a disaster under the bridge. We are in the same position as our opponent.

The Brave Warriors were beaten by the Syli Nationale of Guinea and sit bottom of Group D after conceding more goals than their today opponent.

“Every coach in a tournament believes that they can go the distance. This is a do or dies game. Football is a game. It allows one to prepare for the next game. Even if we lose, we will use it to prepare for our next game.”

Namibia will have to beat Tanzania who was also beaten by the Chipolopolo of Zambia to remain optimistic of reaching the round of 16 and Captain, Frederick  believed today game will be like a final to them.

“After losing our first game, we have lifted our spirit and our next game is like a final for us. We will put in our best.”
