[Namibia] CHAN 2020: We Are not Here to Spoil Zambia Party- Bobby Samaria

Already eliminated from the ongoing 2020 Africa Nations championship, the Brave Warriors of Namibia will play the Chipolopolo of Zambia for a pride.

Namibia was eliminated after losing their first two games in Group D to Guinea and Tanzania in Limbe.

“We did not come here to spoil Zambian party. We came here to go the distance which is not realistic any more. We have to try to score a goal and also try not to concede against Zambia. This game allows us to correct our mistakes once again. The literature is very simple, to go out without any pressure and play with aim of getting a positive result.” Said Coach Bobby Samaria.

Samaria, who earlier blames his team poor performance on the absence of league games in Namibia says him and his players have leant their lesson but will play for pride against Zambia.

“Any football game including friendlies have a role to play with reasons. This is a competition and our last in the tournament. It might be perceived to be of no significance. We take solace in this game as Zambia are our neighbours. The objective of every game is to win. We started on the slow side. After the first game, the team has improved. We need to get a goal and avoid conceding.”

“if there is one lesson that we will have to take back to Namibia from this competition, it’s individual mistakes can cost you games.”

On the other hand, the Chipolopolo of Zambia needs to beat Neighbour Namibia to book their place in the quarter-final.
