Bayelsa United Appointed Coach Lary As New Technical Adviser

Headline News

Larry Eteli has been appointed as the new technical adviser of Bayelsa United football club ahead of the 2018/2019 season of the Nigeria National League (NNL).

Bayelsa United which got relegated in 2015 alongside, Kwara United, Taraba United and sharks FC of Port Harcourt have been struggling in the lower division ever since thier relegation from the top flight football and have done nothing positive to return back to the top-flight football.

Coach Larry Eteli join Bayelsa United from Neighbors Delta Stars Fc of Ughelli whom he got promoted from the Nigeria Nation Wide League to the Nigeria National League before he was sacked in the middle of July 2018 by the Delta State Sports Commisioner.

He will now take the place of Zakary Baraje who contract came to an end of the season, Lary who sacked by the Delta State Sport commissioner due to the poor performance of Delta Stars FC in the first round of the Nigeria National League will be seeking redemption at Bayelsa United whom perform poorly to finish 18th in group B1 of the Nigeria national League which send them to the Nation wide league if the NNL bodies didn’t change the actual agreement of relegating two teams each from each group.

The Bayelsa State clubs after playing away in Delta State stadiums of Sapele and Oghara Township Stadium before being banished to Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin for fans encroachment at the Sapele Township Stadium for almost 3 seasons would do better after returning their home ground Samson Siasia Stadium Stadium in Yeneogoa after being reconstructed and completed in 2017 but thier performance is nothing to write home about after the massive support from the state government.

Other appointment that were made is the appointment of Miekeme Fekete as Director of Football Coaches while Richard Bubagha,Aranka Bekeowei will serve as assistant coaches to Larry Eteli also Ernest Salolomo will be the teams Goalkeeper Trainer.

Both Players and technical Crew are expected resume on Monday 3rd of December in Sagbama in preparation for the new season before returning to Yenegoa for the season opener.
